Meryl Streep's Style Evolution: From Oversized Men's Shirts To Glamorous Gowns (PHOTOS)

Posted: Updated:

Meryl Streep is no stranger to the fashion world, but her style does differ drastically from her role as the ever-critical Miranda Priestly in "The Devil Wears Prada." In her youth, the honey blonde beauty opted for a bohemian look, complete with oversized men's shirts, jackets and side-swept hair. As time progressed and the accolades poured in, her blazers grew glitzier and her skirts doubled in volume.

Streep may not wear many form-fitting pieces like other Hollywood icons over 50, but Vogue's oldest cover girl always appears confident, and has said that she is concerned more about how her clothes reflect her character then current trends. And we couldn't agree more.

In honor of Meryl Streep's 63rd birthday on Friday, we take a look back at the Oscar-winning actress' style over the years. Did you know that she also has three very glamorous daughters?

Meanwhile, check out the gold Lanvin gown and luxe accessories she wore at the 2012 Oscars.
