Robin Roberts, Mary J. Blige Share Touching Moment Over MDS Diagnosis (VIDEO)

WATCH: Robin Roberts' Touching Moment With Mary J. Blige

Robin Roberts and Mary J. Blige shared a very sweet moment during the latter's concert on Friday's "Good Morning America."

The two were discussing Blige's role in the movie "Rock of Ages," her latest magazine cover for Essence and her new music. Roberts praised the entertainer as "inspirational" and a woman "who can do it all."

Just as she appeared to start wrapping the segment up, Blige broke in unexpectedly. "Robin, I just want to say, I love you, you're a fighter and I look up to you. You are amazing," she said, hugging Roberts. She also joined the rest of the folks at "GMA" in wearing an armband to show her support for Roberts.

The "GMA" co-host is battling a rare blood and bone marrow disease called MDS. She announced her diagnosis almost two weeks ago, and has thanked fans for their tremendous support. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy in preparation for a bone marrow transplant later this summer.

She returned the love to Blige on Friday. "This too shall pass," Roberts said. "You have had some challenges. As my mama said, we all got something... and it's what we do at the other end, and your music has helped me get through some really tough times."
