"Mad Men" star Jon Hamm and his girlfriend, actress-director Jennifer Westfeldt, were recently robbed in London, reports Life & Style.
According to the magazine, the couple were dining at a restaurant earlier this month when the actress's purse was stolen. It appears that someone was watching the famous couple very closely, because the thief used the hotel key in Westfeldt's purse to rob their hotel room.
"What a mess," Westfeldt told Life & Style when asked about the incident. She added, "[I'm not feeling] great. It is under investigation."
The couple were in town to promote "Friends With Kids," which Westfeldt wrote, directed and starred in. The film also featured Hamm in a supporting role.
The couple have been together for more than 14 years, and although they do not have children, they are both fascinated by watching their friends have babies, Westfeldt recently told The Huffington Post.
“We wrote the film ["Friends With Kids"] in response to so many of our friends becoming parents, and it's this incredibly profound transition. You are sort of watching your friends and losing them one by one because they kind of go underground for a while when they are new parents,” says Jennifer. “We were interested in that transition.”
