While her film career wasn't the biggest part of her success, Whitney Houston nevertheless made a splash on the big screen with her memorable role in "The Bodyguard." In a shocking discovery on "Hollywood Treasure" (Tue., 10 p.m. ET on Syfy), Brian stumbled upon a piece of that film while searching through a sci-fi prop shop.
There, in the midst of all the science fiction film paraphernalia was Houston's "Queen of the Night" costume that appeared not only in the film, but in the film's iconic movie poster. Even better, there was a costume design for it, signed by Houston herself with a cheeky message for the costume designer.
Brian estimated the piece could probably go for upwards of $30,000, but decided some things are worth more than money. In this case, he felt the costume should find its way someplace where it could be displayed for Houston's fans to see it and remember her on-screen magic, as well as her magical voice.
See what turns up next on "Hollywood Treasure," Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on Syfy.
