There are successful gay youth out there. Here's one http://recordonline.com http://shar.es/txoyd Liam Kahn is the 18 year old Deputy Supervisor of Woodstock, NY. He quit school due to homophobic cullying that his school wouldn't address, got his GED, attends college, and also interns for Congressman Maurice Hinchey. He is also suing his former high school in NY's Northern District Federal Court. It is a Civil Rights case based upon the school's deliberate indifference to homophobia. It was a difficult road for him for quite a while but the support of family and friends, and his own tough spirit, spurred him on to live an authentic life. Google him. Liam Kahn v Onteora High School. People like Anderson Cooper are an inspiration.

Go to your school and ask for the "Bully" documentary to be seen. It's offered for free to teachers in school across the nation. It WILL make a difference and together we all can put a stop to this.

I agree with Cooper. Kids can stop bullying. When we were school age we had a sure fire cure for the guys who wanted to bully us. We gave him a "knuckle sandwich" and he understood the cost for picking on other kids. Kids these days have been taught that it is wrong to defend themselves; this only encourages bullys to act.
