'Anger Management' Premiere: Charlie Turns Down Sex (VIDEO)

Charlie Turns Down Sex On 'Anger Management' Premiere

Charlie Sheen is growing and maturing, or at least the latest fictional "Charlie"he's playing is. Once again, Sheen plays a character named Charlie on his new show "Anger Management" (Thu., 9 p.m. ET on FX). This time he's a former bad boy baseball player who's become a therapist specializing in anger management.

But as he's helping others deal with their anger, he's struggling to control his own, as well as move on from the mistakes of his past. Sound familiar?

At one point, he faced off against a former fling from his baseball days. She was his "slumpbuster" -- a woman he slept with to try and break a slump at the plate. She returned to confront him about his abhorrent behavior, but he proved he wasn't that man anymore. He even rejected the chance to have sex with her again, because it would be wrong. This certainly isn't Charlie Harper from "Two and a Half Men."

It remains to be seen how the show will do with viewers. It has that odd 10/90 deal made famous by the Tyler Perry shows. If these first ten episodes do well enough, FX will order a whopping "back 90" to round out and get the show to instant syndication.

Watch Charlie Sheen continue to grow on "Anger Management," Thursdays at 9:30 p.m. ET on FX.
