just because he won big being cynical about the mortgage malarky and repackaging of cdo's by the big brokers and banks, doesn't mean he will be a good buying long positions investor. Having won so big, and given the statistical probability of reverting to the mean, he should have taken his winners and invested much more conservatively and honed his world view on strategy. Nobody is that smart in the markets, to think after a big win they can make another one and mr. market reminds everybody that. You win a jackpot in the gambling hall, you walk or play the quarter slots till breakfast time as you are going to lose in all likelihood.

Good to know Hedge fund managers like him that earn billions of dollars in salary every year as individuals are like many lottery winners. Easy come easy go. There must be a collective sigh of relief because he made most of his billions in Credit Default Swaps betting against a lot of things to crash specially the US housing market. Many one percenters who are trying to crack his code by duplicating his past performance are now hopefully failing miserably. I hope they fail not only because they deserve it. I also want them to work for the SEC and declare war on the vulture capitalists in Wall Street. These guys are insiders and know so many tricks that warrant regulation, they can make the new SEC more powerful and equally feared. I am talking about Paulson's immediate subordinates because I don't see the man signing up to be a member of the Justice League of America.
