From GorgeousInGrey.com: I've been thinking about transitioning my hair to its natural curly waves for a while. Each September, after the summer heat finally disappears and my roots calm down, I reminisce about my childhood wavy locs. I've always classified myself as semi-natural. Meaning, since I can remember I've only had a relaxer treatment 2 maybe 3 times a year. Just to tame the roots of my hair, more so in the summer time. Maryland humidity makes for a very unpleasant happy hour. Going "chemical free" is no easy task for me especially since my grey hairs have a stubborn side.
As summer months approaches us, the dreadful thought of poofed out roots doesn't make me a happy fashionista. So I started thinking. What could I do to stay on my natural path? Here's 5 things I am going to try this season to ease that transition. Hopefully I won't by left with natural regrets.
