Really - it took the IRS this long to figure out that ALEC wasn't quite what it appeared to be....rational Americans realized this quite some time ago........now let's see how long it take to decide if there really will be an investigation......

an investigation is probably 2 years overdue - at least. knowing how careful this administration has been i'm sure they fear being accused of politicking if an investigation is launched at this time. WHO CARES? better to do it now before another election is stolen - at any level!

ALEC is a subversive fascist organization whose goal is to destroy democracy through control of state governments. They are responsible for the voter ID laws that have been passed in republican controlled states. They are responsible for stand your ground legislation that turns killers loose on the population. There is no way that they should have tax exempt status and such status should be immediately revoked. All corporations that support, guide, and serve on any and all boards and committees connected with the operation of ALEC should be investigated immediately. AT&T, State Farm Insurance, large oil companies such as ExxonMobile are heavily involved with ALEC and should be publicly called out for their support of ALEC.
