Chaka Khan At 2012 BET Awards: Gorgeous In Gold (PHOTOS)

We would like to give a round of applause to the fabulousness that is Chaka Khan.

The legendary songstress went full glam Sunday night at the 2012 BET Awards in a gold curve-embracing gown that flaunted her newly slimmed-down frame.

Chaka hit the stage in her head-turning dress to sing "I'm Every Woman" during the evening's amazing and emotional tribute to the late music icon Whitney Houston.

While there was hardly a dry eye in the house -- especially when Whitney's mother Cissy performed -- it was wonderful to witness such a brilliantly executed celebration of Whitney's life.

And what better way for Chaka to also honor Whitney's fierce fashion legacy than in an equally fiery dress?

If you've got it flaunt it -- and Chaka definitely has it.

The 59-year-old diva is sure to dazzle fans yet again as she makes her way down to New Orleans later this week to perform at the Essence Music Festival.

Oh my goodness. This woman is unbelievably gifted AND beautiful. She has always been one of my favorite singers. Now that I think about it, "singer" just doesn't quite capture what she is. She is an artist of the first magnitude. Simply stunning Chaka!

Chaka did look great and healthy with her weight loss. She's always been a very pretty woman in my opinion. Her voice is absolutely amazing. Everyone who "sings" is definitely not a singer, but this woman is a singer.
