Sometimes striping an issue down to its "bare bones" makes it easier to understand. Whether you're straight, gay, lesbian or transgender, you are a human with the same bag of bones as the human next to you.
This video, called "Equality for Humans," was made by Macauley C. Johnson, an LA motion-graphics artist who created the clip for his final project at Otis College of Art and Design.
Johnson strips the characters of their outer layers to show that we're all the same underneath. We can't help but think about how this video could have been used 60 years ago to show that, regardless of skin color, all humans are equal and deserve the same rights.
It's videos like these that help clarify civil rights issues and unite us. The greater the understanding, the closer society comes towards welcoming gay marriage. Please pass along.
