In the video above, new media artists Blake Shaw and Bruno Levy (aka Sweatshoppe) were able to make street art without any paint.
The short video takes you on an electric magic carpet ride through Europe as the duo "video paints" using live interactive video wheatpaste. With electric paint rollers, Sweatshoppe tracks where they paint and projects images onto the spots as they were painted. The result is a live video collage that combines street art's spontaneity and cinema's suspension of disbelief. In two weeks, they tackle spots throughout Berlin, Belgrade, London, Paris and Bristol, where they make a two story video painting.
