Mitt Romney needs to hone his attack in the presidential race, says U.S. Rep. Tim Scott (R-SC).

The first-term congressman is "hopeful" the current low-key Romney campaign is preparing for a more forceful approach in the fall.

"I'm hoping he is figuring out right now what exactly is coming at him and getting a very tight, crisp response," Scott said Thursday night to a crowd of more than 100 conservative 9/12 members from across the Lowcountry.

He told the group that he spoke with Romney advisers on Friday, offering suggestions on strategy.

Tim Scott is just really not that bright. He flips and flops around, every once in a while he comes out of his cave and makes some stupid remark that has nothing to do with anything. Hey Tim! here's a suggestion; why don't you get to work and actually DO something for the constituents that sent you to DC! Stay away from the cameras because everytime you get in front of one, you prove that you are just not smart enough to be in the position to serve the state of SC.

Romney's people are extremely confident that they can buy this election or steal it by making many democratic voters ineligible in more than a few states and the only people that could screw things up for them is the tea party who insist on a more vicious and hateful campaign.

Romney won't get tough. He's trying so hard to appear amiable that it's painful to watch. Take a good look at Romney as he works a crowd: the well-rehearsed gestures, nods and winks. The cocked head as he raises his eyebrows. The "what-a-thrill-to-see-YOU-here" look. It's all so calculated, so phony. This man is a stone-hearted vulture capitalist feels he MUST appear lovable, but you can see the machinery working just under the surface. Hollow, hollow, hollow.
