i had the unfortunate adventure to visit Arpios jail i am Hispanic have been a legal us citizen since 1972 and i was treated like i was caught sneaking in to the USA 10 minutes prior to arriving to his jail. i was set a side from everyone into another room with other Hispanics and was questioned on how i became a citizen did i enter illegally and what proof i had on my person to prove my status and any reply i gave to the deputies was taken as if it was a lie, i was denied access to a phone to call my family for over 20 hours, while other white prisoners where allowed that freedom to make several calls, until they were statisfied that i am a U S CITIZEN. I am armed forces veteran served my country proudly and this is how i am treated.

While Arpaio focuses on immigration, he and his underlings IGNORE child molestation and rape. There were over 400 cases involving children that went uninvestigated.

Arpaio is NOT an "Immigration Officer"; he is the sheriff of Maricopa County.

Arpaio does NOT bother himself with County crime; he spends all of his time and taxpayer money on "Round Ups" of brown people, assuming that they are "illegal". Most of them prove not to be illegal, but citizens.

Arpaio should have joined the INS instead of running for sheriff in Arizona.

Hence, the lawsuit.

The idea is to keep these detentions *full*. They are a cash cow *for profit* private entity. It started with Homeland Security and has spiraled into what we have today. Round up as many as possible and sort them out later. If it can happen to that ex-governor, it can happen to anyone. This is what is so frightening about this
