Chris Brown, 'Fortune' Album Sales: Singer's Record Debuts At No. 1 On The Billboard 200

Chris Brown Has The No. 1 Album In The U.S.

After a string of misfortunes -- a label change, poor reviews and a brawl with Drake -- Chris Brown's Fortune actually managed to top the Billboard 200.

Brown's fifth studio album sold 134,000 copies in its first week, a significant drop from the 270,000 in debut-week sales of his previous album, 2011's F.A.M.E. Thanks to an 99 cent deal on Amazon, Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" re-entered the top 10 and climbed to No. 2.

Perhaps even more surprising is that Adele's 21 fell to No. 9 in its 72nd straight week in the top 10. Adele's sophomore album is now tied with Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill for the most weeks in the top 10 for an album by a woman.
