Every restaurant, even those helmed by chefs who like regularly varying up their offerings, has them: That one, signature dish that, if taken off the menu, could cause a diner uprising.
For The Bristol, a Mediterranean cuisine-styled foodie favorite located at 2152 N. Damen Ave. in Chicago's Bucktown neighborhood, that dish is their pan-roasted half chicken, as Eater Chicago recently revealed in the latest edition of their new "Untouchables" video series.
The delicious bird comes served with dill spaetzle and a crunchy salad -- all for a somewhat unbelievably reasonable price of just $20 as of this writing.
As chef and owner Chris Pandel told Eater, the entree has gone untouched since the restaurant opened in 2008 -- and, per the wishes of his diners, that's not likely to change anytime in the near future.
Earlier this year, The Bristol was recognized with two awards, for best neighborhood restaurant and best pastry chef, at the Jean Banchet Awards for Culinary Excellence.
