Ray Romano Remembers Delivering Futons To Robert DeNiro, Cher

It's a small world. So small, in fact, that a sitcom star once delivered a piece of subpar seating to a worldwide singing sensation.

Back in the day, before everybody loved Ray Romano, the future funnyman was a futon delivery guy in New York City and he had some very special customers.

On an episode of "Live! with Kelly," Romano got a little nostalgic about one of his first jobs. Romano remembers delivering a futon to Robert DeNiro (although the actor wasn't home at the time) and helping Cher load her purchase into her car.

"I put it in the trunk and she had the kids there," Romano remembers of his encounter with the icon.

But that wouldn't be his only Cher moment. Years later, after Romano found success, he and Cher were dining at the same restaurant and as the pop star was leaving, she stopped by Romano's table to say, "That futon was a piece of crap."

If we "could turn back time," this is one encounter we'd replay over and over.
