Katy Perry, Russell Brand Divorce: Comedian Takes First Swipe At Pop Star Since Split

Russell Brand Slams Katy Perry?

Russell Brand has been remarkably civil to ex-wife Katy Perry since the two announced their split in December 2011, from signing the couple's $6.5 million mansion over to the pop star, to admitting to Ellen DeGeneres that he still loved Perry "as a human being."

But apparently, the run of goodwill is over. On Tuesday, one day after the couple's divorce was finalized, UK paper The Sun reported that the British comedian took his first public swipe at his ex-wife during a recent taping of his new show, "Brand X."

According to The Sun, the slip came during an exchange between Brand and an audience member, who, like his ex, was named Katy. After bantering back and forth, the 37-year-old comedian reportedly shouted, “Anyway, enough of you, I’ve had enough arse-ache from people called Katy in the last year.”

The reported incident comes as a surprise, given that, prior to this, the meanest thing the comedian had done was unfollow the 27-year-old popstar on Twitter back in April.

Brand made headlines Tuesday for more than just his alleged jab. Us Weekly reported that the funnyman recently began dating Isabella Brewster, the younger sister of "Dallas" star Jordana Brewster.
