Always one to keep things unpredictable, Barry Weiss keeps things fun and interesting on "Storage Wars" (Tue., 10 p.m. ET on A&E). And because he just seems to be having a blast with the whole concept of the show, his purchases can also yield some of the most unexpected results.
So it wasn't a surprise that it was Barry who bid on a disappointingly empty storage locker on the latest episode. He scored it for a single dollar.
But as he was rummaging through his purchase, he found a strange mask that he suspected might be worth a little more than that dollar he paid for the whole lot. So he took it to an expert.
She noted some of the unique and uncommon features of the mask, before telling Barry that it was probably worth about $300. So Barry made her a great deal, selling it to her for half that and still netting a huge profit.
"I made over 150 times my money today; that is a storage auction record," he said gleefully.
