Google Acquires Third-Party iOS/Mac Email Client Sparrow, Will Fold Them Into Gmail Team

Google just acquired Sparrow, the company behind the popular iOS and OS X email client. The company's team, says Sparrow CEO Dom Leca, will be joining Google's Gmail team "to accomplish a bigger vision - one that we think we can better achieve with Google."

I find forced incompatibility of platforms very annoying.

Won't get an iphone until/unless Google's platforms operate on it the same way they do on Android. Otherwise, Samsung Galaxy 3 will do just fine.

The camera is the one place where iphone is clearly the champion, but I use a digital SLR for my serious pictures anyway.
