Tiger Woods Chip: Bunker Shot On 18 Ends British Open Second Round On High Note (VIDEO)

Tiger's Amazing Birdie Shot Caps Strong Second Round

Tiger Woods ended his second round at the Open Championship with yet another fist-pump worthy moment.

On the 18th hole, Tiger landed his tee shot on the fairway 163 yards from the cup. But he misfired on his second shot and hooked it into the bunker to the right of hole (his first bunker of the first two rounds)

"God Almighty," he said disappointed by that wayward shot.

From that position, it appeared as if Woods would need two more shots to save par and finish the round at 5-under. Instead, Woods hit an incredible chip shot from the bunker that dropped and rolled into the cup for his second birdie on the back nine (fourth of the day). He broke out yet another fist pump as the crowd cheered him on.

After he finished with his second consecutive 67 (6-under for the tournament), Woods talked about his approach on the last hole.

"It wasn't that bad because I was on the upslope. If I was on the flat or on the downslope it would have been a totally different shot," he said to ESPN's Tom Rinaldi. "But being on the upslope, I could throw it up in there and land it on the flat and be totally fine on the speed."

Woods is in third on the leaderboard behind Adam Scott (9-under) and Brandt Snedeker (10-under).
