Get ready, Mariah Carey fans, because new music is on the way!
Carey took to Twitter on Saturday to announce the title of her new single, "Triumphant (Get 'Em)," and shared a little bit about the song's significance with her followers:
According to Celebuzz, the new tune was written and produced by Carey, as well as Jermaine Dupri and Brian Michael Cox, who also worked on the singer's hits “Shake It Off” and “Don’t Forget About Us.”
But Carey's single announcement isn't the only news to be shared about her recently. Though she's certainly no stranger to rumors, the latest item making the rounds suggests the singer is headed to primetime.
According to Deadline, Carey is getting close to inking a deal to join "American Idol" next season. Should she land a spot at the coveted judges' table next to Randy Jackson -- both Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler have left the show -- it's reported Carey will be making a whopping $17 million for next season.
