Every weekend we bring you a round up of either the best LGBT moments from the week before -- our Something To Celebrate series -- or, as you'll see below, the worst anti-LGBT stories from the last seven days in our Know Thine Enemy feature.
You can think of Know Thine Enemy as a primer filled with the anti-LGBT rhetoric being leveled against us, as a reminder of how far we still have to go, and maybe even as a chance to have a laugh (because let's be honest, some of this stuff is often so ridiculous, it's downright hilarious).
Check out the stories we covered this week below -- all in one convenient slideshow -- and let us know who you think the biggest enemy of the LGBT community was in the comments section.
Chick-FIl-A President On Anti-Gay Donations: 'Guilty As Charged'
Though Chick-fil-A has come under considerable fire for its documented support of anti-gay Christian organizations, officials for the fast food chain have remained mostly tight-lipped about the controversy -- until now. In a new interview with the Baptist Press, Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy -- the son of company founder S. Truett Cathy -- addressed what the publication describes as his franchise's "support of the traditional family." Cathy's somewhat glib response: "Well, guilty as charged." He went on to note, "We are very much supportive of the family -- the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that...we know that it might not be popular with everyone, but thank the Lord, we live in a country where we can share our values and operate on biblical principles." Read the full story here.
Boy Scouts Uphold Anti-Gay Policy
After a confidential two-year review, the Boy Scouts of America on Tuesday emphatically reaffirmed its policy of excluding gays, angering critics who hoped that relentless protest campaigns might lead to change. As the Associated Press reported, the Scouts cited support from parents as a key reason for keeping the policy and expressed hope that the prolonged debate over it might now subside. Bitter reactions from gay-rights activists suggested that result was unlikely. You can read the full story here.

Lady Gaga, Office Depot Partnership Slammed By Right-Wing Group
Office Depot officials say they hope to create a "braver, kinder school year" for students by partnering with Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation, but one right-wing organization is less than thrilled by the new collaboration. The Florida Family Association (FFA) slammed Office Depot's decision to back the pop star's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth-supporting cause, demanding that the retail outlet rescind its reported $1 million donation because Lady Gaga sends an "irresponsible message to many teens who would have eventually chosen to be straight." You can read the full story here.

Jimmie 'J.J.' Walker has never been one to mince his words. Currently promoting his new memoir "Dyn-o-mite," the former "Good Times" star is sounding off yet again -- this time, on his opposition to same-sex marriage on "moral grounds." AFA's Bryan Fischer Slams Gay Parenting 'In The Wake Of Penn State'
"In the wake of what we've just seen at Penn State...that alone ought to be enough to say, 'Look, we are not going to put children in same-sex households!" So proclaims Bryan Fischer of the American Family Association, who sounded off on his "Focal Point" talk show on why he feels lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) couples shouldn't be allowed to become parents. "After bringing children into the world with an opposite-sex partner, they are not going to get custody with these children," Fischer then proclaims, adding that gay parents should be allowed "supervised visits" with their children alone. You can read the full story here.
Anti-Gay Sentiment Rising In Ukraine, Activists Say
Homophobic sentiment and violence against Ukraine's gay community are on the rise despite increasing efforts to promote tolerance in the conservative ex-Communist nation, advocacy groups said Wednesday. As the Associated Press reported, the community was forced to cancel its first ever gay pride parade in the capital, Kiev, in May due to concerns activists would be physically attacked by radical groups. Pepsi, Miller And Coors Products Removed From Restaurant's Menu After Gay Support
n Idaho-based eatery has removed Pepsi soft drinks, as well as Miller and Coors beers, from their menu because of the brands' support of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. Waha Bar and Grill owners Mike and Mari Fuller have cited their Christian faith as their incentive for yanking the products."The National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce is an entity that collects money from major corporations to further promote policies for the gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders, and being Christians, we don't support that," Mike is quoted as saying. Read the full story here.
Kentucky Girl Attacked In Alleged Anti-Gay Hate Crime
A 17-year-old girl in Kentucky is recovering after being attacked by a group of adults which a family friend alleges hurled anti-gay slurs at her, WAVE 3 Louisville is reporting. "This was a hate crime. There was hate slurs thrown. It was not a robbery," Brenda Hickerson, the family friend, told the station. "She is a very proud lesbian girl and they were attacked for that very reason." 'The New Normal' Slammed By One Million Moms
The new TV season hasn't started yet, but conservative group One Million Moms has already found a new target for their vitriol in NBC's "The New Normal." The comedy, created by "Glee" executive producer Ryan Murphy, centers on a single mother (Georgia King) who agrees to be a surrogate for a gay couple (Justin Bartha and Andrew Rannells) hoping to start a family of their own. The notoriously anti-gay organization posted a missive on their site with the title "The New Normal -- Not Normal," urging members to contact the network and protest the show's airing. Read the full story here
