Striving to look young is a practice much older than modern plastic surgery. Even though most people seeking the fountain of youth either go under the knife or opt for Botox, it looks like one woman is hoping to make reducing wrinkles a cheaper and more accessible pursuit.
Kim Aschauer created the Facelift Bungee after going to a plastic surgery consultation and being shocked by the "outrageous" prices. "I created this out of pure panic," she told "Good Morning America." The Facelift Bungee is a $25 bungee cord with a comb at each end that fastens to the sides of the wearer's face and literally stretches the skin back. If that sounds confusing, here's a step-by-step how-to:
Make two small braids at each temple
Fasten the first comb to one braid
Bring the bungee cord around and fasten the other comb to the second braid
"Voila, 10 years off your face!"
We can't figure out how this couldn't be the most painful thing ever created, but the founder says that it doesn't cause anymore pain than a "ponytail headache." Ok, so maybe Aschauer has a higher pain threshold than we do because we're pretty sure we've never worn a casual hairstyle that gave us a headache.
Also, what happens if the tiny braids succumb to the pressure and get yanked out? Or if you flip your hair and people notice that there's a bizarre rubber bungee wrapped around your head? And we're not plastic surgeons, but it seems like stretching your skin for hours on end would only make your skin looser.
What do you think of the Facelift Bungee? Watch the video below and tell us if you'd try it.

Bruce Jenner's Plastic Surgery Obsession

I was housebound for nine months and couldn't move my head - discharge would pour out."

My mom received Facelift Bungee today, and were very excited to try it. It was a real disappointment to say the least.
Once you have attached the bungee to one side of the braid you pull the band around to the braid on the other side, pulling painfully on your hair. You're basically depending on the braids to lift your face with this horrible contraption! I am certain one who uses this would not only get a headache but lose hair from pulling your hair so hard in order to get the desired results this company claims. Just trying it once hair was ripped out from the constant torture of pulling on your hair in order to see any change.
In the video they only show application to one side of the head, that's because it fails to perform like the first side, trying to attach it the same as the first side is completely different there is not enough tension to "LIFT" without pulling your hair so hard it hurts, and even then barely a change!
I would NOT recommend Facelift Bungee to anyone, you're better off using masking tape then wasting your money!!!
If a person wants to have a cosmetic procedure done that is up to them, There are extremes where people get addicted, and they need help. Braces on your teeth are considered cosmetic, changing appearance.. "YOU LOOK MARVELOUS" : )

1. This is a really stupid idea. Bad on hair, bad on skin.
2. I see absolutely NO difference in any of the women shown before and after.
3. There's nothing new about this. It was once common for older actors (of both genders) to use duct tape to do this under wigs. They would shave their hair above their ears, put on a tight wig cap (like a stocking) to cover the rest of their head, pull their skin up and tape it back, ear to ear. Naturally, the wigs had to have plenty of fluff around the face to hide this, but it worked if you didn't look too closely, and yes, it hurt. This was when facelifts were a huge production that you couldn't always squeeze in (or afford) between gigs. This was also way before Photoshop; airbrushing, masking and other techniques were crude and took time that the cheap movie magazines were unwilling to do, or at least to do well. Debbie Reynolds, both Gabor sisters, and Elizabeth Taylor used to do this for photo sessions. You cut a length of duct tape as long as needed to go from ear to ear and stick it down on wax paper. You'd cut the ends that go toward the front to make a smooth, contoured edge, then taper the length on both sides to about 1" wide. This prevented bunching, which could cause the wig to pop off. Remove the wax paper backing and away you go.
Which: 1. This is a really stupid idea. Bad on hair,
There's another deal on Ebay you can purchase that does the same thing but it's with tape & a cord goes around the back of your head under your hair. No braiding needed.

This method has been here since "Old Hollywood". Ladies faces and eyes are pulled back. Today the technique is to look natural, as if you are aging nicely. Band would not work on procedures as neck, jowels. People who are considering work, don't listen to the so called head doctors that are trying to find the deep meaning of why you would do this. I really thought about it as I did not like going under the knife, but my neck really bothered me, in my late 50's. Too young so my husband said if I wanted to do it, do it!. I had already had my eyes done, in the doctors office and you are awake. That was an easy one, no pain pills, as no pain. I got my neck done, which turned into a mini facelift as I had so much skin to pull up. Family and friends saw me when healed and couldn't believe how I looked. I did look over 10 years younger. Funny if I didn't tell them, they thought I had changed my hair. They just couldn't figure out what was different about me. Girls it's solely your decision, no one else! First you find a GOOD doctor. Stars have the money but can't find a good doctor? CHECK out your doctor. My work was done in Everett WA, and he's the BEST. Thank you, Dr. Windle. Talk to your doctor, usually give free consults and feel good about doing it for yourself.

Must be nice to throw money around for a vain hobby. The only problem with having
surgery for a younger look, is that eventually it will need an adjustment, and another eye lift and another chin lift and cheek implants. etc. etc. Look at Joan Rivers. She almost looks like a freak of nature. She is not a bad looking woman and should of just let things be. What comes up does come down.

This work is something I wanted to do for myself. I think your a little off the wall when you refer to Joan R. She's way out there and extreme. We all know how old she is and why she went that far I don't know. I worked since I was out of college and by the time I decided to do some work, it was my reward. I don't think anyone has the right to tell you what to do. I won't need work again and never planned on it. During these still active and working years, you want to look your best. Some just don't want to have it done, it's a natural look and I deserve it after all these years and raising a family and working. Wish I could send you a picture so you would see what I mean.
