Some of the most effective and courageous acts seem tied to doing (physically, at least) very little. For instance, sitting at the front of the bus, sitting in cafes and diners, and (though part of a separate movement) just lying in bed.

Now, 16-year-old Batman fan Justin Davis has adapted the protest-by-sitting for an entirely different purpose.

Davis was in the Aurora theater last Friday when a shooter opened fire during a midnight screening of "The Dark Knight Rises," killing 12 people and injuring 58.

The next day, reports ABC, Davis went to a different theater, determined to finish the movie.

"I just want to finish it -- and for all those men, women, and children that didn't get to finish it, I want to finish it for them," he explained.

Another shooting victim, Gage Hankins, told Fox8 that even though he faces months of rehab for his injuries, he won't let fear keep him from going to the movies.

“The shooter’s intent was to harm people and make people fear him," he told the station. "But if you don’t go back to the movies because you’re scared to, that means he’s won.”
