Giuliana Rancic Expects A 'Giant Baby,' Was 'Like A Circus Act' As An Infant

Giuliana Rancic Is Expecting A 'Giant Baby'

Giuliana Rancic and husband Bill are expecting the arrival of their baby in August, and if history repeats itself, the happy couple should be welcoming a big boy.

"I will tell you something I don't think I have ever told anyone. I was 13 pounds [at birth]," laughs Giuliana, who was born in Italy. "Yes, I was so big in Naples, Italy, people would line up outside our apartment. I was this giant baby down the street. My mom said I was like a circus act. Oh my god, the freak show down the street -- everyone would want to come and see the baby with the giant head.

"I still have my big head. My surrogate doesn't love hearing that," Giuliana adds, referring to her gestational surrogate. "My sister was 12 pounds; my brother was 11 pounds. My sister is half my size, and her last kid was 10 1/2 lbs. Chances are, we are going to have a giant baby."

Predicting that she, not Bill, will be the disciplinarian in the house, Giuliana says she wants to raise a good Catholic boy who goes to church every Sunday.

"I'm already worried about situations that aren’t happening for 16 years," the host of "E! News" tells me. “But I am going to do everything in my power to not be that person that shows baby pictures every 30 seconds because I know what that's like. But I can't make promises. Unless someone asks to see the picture, that's the golden rule I'm going to try to live by, but no promises. This baby is many, many years in the making."

Whether Bill and Giuliana will someday expand their family the old-fashioned way remains to be seen, but Giuliana has found one surefire method to get in the mood to try.

"Bill likes when I come home from Zumba classes because I'm all sweaty and my endorphins are rushing," reveals Giuliana, now a spokeswoman for Zumba Toning. "I feel sexier after the class," she says. "We have such crazy schedules [that] sometimes it takes a little bit to get in the mood [for sex]. That's why it's good to do a class, and when I come home, I'm more in the mood than when I come home from work [sorry, Ryan Seacrest]. Reporting on Britney Spears doesn't get me in the mood."
