Zoorama Pet Store In Long Island Robbed By Man Who Stuffs Pomeranian Down Pants (VIDEO)

WATCH: Man Robs Pet Store By Stuffing Pomeranian Down Pants

After failing to break into a cash register at a Long Island pet store, a man has been caught on camera stealing a 10-week old Pomeranian by stuffing the pup down his pants.

The New York Post reports on the two men working together in the desperate heist when they walked into Zoorama Pet Store on June 23.

The first man works to distract the store's owner by feigning interest in purchasing a pet, while the other man snoops around attempting to jack cash from the register.

When the man realizes he can't get into the register, he grabs and stuffs a $1,000 Pomeranian down his pants. Both men exit the store without a hitch.

Owner Harsha Perera is offering a $500 reward for the dog's return. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 244-TIPS.
