Craft Of The Day: Make These Quirky Chalkboard-Painted Mugs

We've seen chalkboard paint used in all sorts of creative ways from kitchen back splashes to entire walls in childrens' bedrooms. But today's Craft Of The Day is one of our favorites. These chalkboard-painted mugs from The Purple Carrot are quirky and fun. And we can't think of a cooler way to leave a message for your loved ones in the morning than on their cup of joe.

Besides doodling designs and writing notes for family and friends, these mugs are great for labeling place settings at your next brunch gathering. To make them, you just need plain white mugs, painters tape and chalkboard paint. We'd like to make a few of our own and give them out as party favors and gifts!
