Octomom Nadya Suleman is just about everywhere these days, but that's not putting food on the table or money in the bank.
Sources close to Suleman say that despite the massive publicity she's received for her solo sex DVD, Octomom Home Alone, the stripping tour, and her upcoming dance song, she still remains cash poor.
The DVD was released on July 25, but her home in La Habra, Calif., was foreclosed last month and she reportedly has two weeks to find a new place, TMZ reported.
Depending on how her deal is structured, she might be waiting a while to get the profits from the porn, according to Steve Javors of AVN.com, a news site focusing on the adult industry.
He said the money from online subscriptions to Wicked Entertainment, the distributor of the DVD, could show up immediately while sales from DVD could take a little longer.
"I don't know the financial arrangements, or if it's based on sales, but my educated guess is that she got a healthy performance fee upfront," Javors told The Huffington Post.
Javors predicts the video will arouse a lot of interest, just based on the curiosity factor, but said that may not translate into sales.
"With all the piracy, it's possible many people will see it on the 'tube' sites for free," he said.
But the 36-year-old mother of 14 isn't giving up hope. Instead, she's asking the people who have made "Octomom" a popular search engine term to help her raise $150,000 for a down payment on a new house.
She has set up a page on GoFundMe.com where she explains she's a Type A personality willing to do anything to help her kids.
The site went up this past weekend, but, so far, she's only raised one percent of the funds she's asking for.
Despite begging for money from the public, her spokeswoman claims that Suleman has been off welfare for a month now.
"Nadya's financial situation has changed dramatically in the past few months and between her endorsements, movie and appearances, she is financially stable for the first time," The Daily Mail reported the spokeswoman as saying. "Nadya has several adult-bookstore appearances scheduled to promote her movie Octomom Home Alone. She also has her new single set to release in August, 'Get On The Dance Floor,' and she will be performing her single in clubs."
In addition, she is working for a site called "Dial-A-Star" that allows people to speak with Suleman and other pseudo-celebs like Lindsay Lohan's dad, Michael.
With all this work going on, something had to give, and, apparently, it's romance.
Suleman reportedly has ended her brief romance with 23-year-old amateur bodybuilder Frankie G. because her busy schedule left little time for their relationship to work, the New York Daily News reported, adding that she decided he was too young and couldn’t handle her fast-paced lifestyle.
