Wood Chipper Murder: Flight Attendant's Body Suspected Of Being Destroyed On 'Blood, Lies & Alibis' (VIDEO)

It would go down in the record books as the first time in the state of Connecticut that a suspect was convicted of murder despite no body every being recovered. "Blood, Lies & Alibis" (Mon., 9 p.m. ET on ID) presented the gruesome theory investigators presented to help convict Richard Crafts.

His wife Helle was a flight attendant, and when she went missing, Crafts story to the police changed several times. On some occasions he said he had no idea where she was, while at other times he said she had returned to her home country of Denmark.

The inconsistencies lead to an investigation, which helped investigators piece together a more chilling version of events. They suggested that Richard killed his wife after she demanded a divorce over his cheating.

He then put her body in a freezer for a day while he rented both a U-Haul truck and a wood chipper. He then proceeded to destroy her body, leaving no evidence. Evidence or not, though, Richard was sentenced to 50 years in prison for Helle's murder.
