On the penultimate episode of "Haunted Highway" (Tue., 10 p.m. ET on Syfy), the investigative team headed for California on the trail of a supposedly haunted cemetery. Cue lots of creepy night-vision shots of the team wandering through tombstones. It's a classic ghost scenario, after all!
A local they encountered shared with them an EVP recording he had made that seemed to have clearly recorded a child's voice talking about his own grave.
"Mama bought me a little one. A stone. Under the last tree over there," the voice was heard to say.
The recording was very exciting to the team, though obviously they couldn't authenticate it. And while they were unable to capture a similar audio experience, they did record what sounded to them like a child laughing.
The ghost they were seeking was reportedly a woman who was restless because she hadn't been allowed to be buried near her child. Could this be that child seeking the mother?
The season finale of "Haunted Hightway" airs next Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET on Syfy.
