There is no rest for the weary in London as the Summer Olympics roll on. There is also no rest for the dedicated Olympics viewer as Wednesday brings another packed schedule of events. Here are a few notable happenings to keep an eye on:
Table Tennis: The first gold medal match in table tennis goes down on Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. ET when Chinese women's stars Xiaoxia Li and Ning Ding go at it. Will this be a friendly battle between two teammates? Or with apparently 500 million Chinese expected to watch on television, will this turn out to be an intense finals match? ONLINE
Fencing Hat Trick? The U.S. flag bearer Mariel Zagunis goes for her third straight gold medal in the women's individual sabre event. The heavy favorite won gold at the 2004 Athens Games, the year the event made its Olympic debut, and in Beijing. At 3:30 p.m. ET, there will either be a three-peat or the second ever women's individual sabre gold medalist. MSNBC
Men's Gymnastics Individual All-Around Final: With favorite Kohei Uchimura of Japan not meeting expectations placing a surprising ninth in the qualifications, the gold medal in the men's individual all-around (11:30 a.m. ET) seems to be up for grabs. Can Americans Danell Leyva or John Orozco redeem themselves after a disastrous showing in the team final and make a run at the individual gold? Or will a hometown favorite like Kristian Thomas come out on top? ONLINE
Beach Volleyball: Can't get enough of that late-night beach volleyball? USA's duo of Kerri Walsh and Misty May, ranked third in the field, takes on Austria's Schwaiger sisters in the final match of the night at 5 p.m ET. The Schwaigers upset Australia in their last match and will look to top that with an even bigger one. MSNBC
Swimming: There's always something going on in the pool. Wednesday features the Women's 200m Butterfly at 3:12 p.m. ET, in which Kathleen Hershey was the only swimmer to break 2:06 in the preliminaries. China's Liuyang Jiao (silver medalist in Beijing) and Japan's Natsumi Hoshi stand in her way of getting the gold. ONLINE
