The early aughts were full of formative style moments: Britney Spears attending the "Crossroads" premiere in a page boy cap with Justin Timberlake in a coordinated turtleneck, Christina Aguilera debuting her "Dirrty" look and J. Lo dropping the "ennifer" and picking up a bunch of pink track suits. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. One of our favorite things about style in the early part of the decade was the awesomely awkward '00s footwear.

Don't pretend like you too didn't wear foam wedge thong sandals everywhere, or tuck your flared jeans into tall, pointy-toed boots. The now dated-looking shoes didn't stop there: square toed loafers, shiny nude-colored leather and platform clogs were all the rage in this era.

Take a peek at the photos below to see stars like Kate Bosworth, Heidi Klum and more rocking some ridiculous footwear from 2000-2004. Let's just hope the naughty aughties don't make a comeback anytime soon, at least when it comes to shoes.
