Hamster fans have been doing the math, and it's been evident that "Big Brother" (Thu., 9 p.m. ET on CBS) was going to run out of contestants unless they did something major. Enter the twist that America was able to vote on: Should the coaches be allowed to enter the game as players?
Julie Chen revealed during tonight's episode that if the coaches had voted against it, then eliminated players would have had the chance to return to the game. Interestingly, only Mike "Boogie" voted to keep playing as a coach. But, as Chen explained, it only took one "yes" vote from a single coach to put them all back in the game.
In other words, CBS wanted to have the best chance of getting them into the game possible. And they got their wish. But what it also did was reset the events of the past week, and eliminate the established teams and alliances. Shane's backdoor of Frank ultimately means nothing, as no one was evicted and everyone -- including Shane -- got a chance to compete in the Head of Household competition.
