'Hoarding: Buried Alive': Septic Flood Leads To Floors Covered In Human Feces (VIDEO)

Human Waste Covers Home After Septic Flood On 'Hoarding: Buried Alive'

This week, viewers saw what was easily one of the most disgusting homes seen yet on "Hoarding: Buried Alive" (Sun., 9 p.m. ET on TLC), thanks to a septic tank flood. The entire center portion of Doug and Darlene's house was completely impassable thanks to a flood that left the floor covered in human feces. It was disgusting and unsanitary, but they were apparently just putting up with it.

The rest of the house wasn't in much better shape, but the septic flood was apparently the final straw. The couple was able to accept help, and ultimately got that septic tank repaired to stop the flow of human waste, but the house was in pretty bad shape.

The couple decided to accept their losses, determining that their hearts were no longer in maintaining their home of 20 years. Instead, their future happiness was elsewhere, and so they put it up on the market.

Watch "Hoarding: Buried Alive" every Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on TLC.
