It's easy to know which restaurants are the hottest, the most popular in town and the most critically acclaimed.
But what about the tastiest or most innovative? The most absolutely addicting? What about the all-around best spots to eat on the planet?
To find out, Newsweek gathered 53 of the best chefs across the globe and asked them about the best places to eat in the world, asking for "the finest, oddest, most memorable dining hotspots from Australia to Monaco."
The result: the World's 101 Best Places To Eat, which includes two of our very own from San Francisco.

Daniel Patterson's Coi and Matthew Accarrino's SPQR made the cut, among 14 other North American restaurants. Chef Elizabeth Falkner, a San Francisco alum, nominated both, noting Coi's kelp and squid-ink pasta and SPQR's ricotta gnudi.
This isn't the first time in recent months that internationally-renowned organizations have taken notice of what's going on here in town.
Mission Chinese Food was named one of GQ's top new restaurants of the year (and Fox News gave the pop up-turned-bicoastal sensation a friendly shout-out on Monday, too).
The Bay Area dominated Esquire's same list, taking home four of the top spots.
And Nancy Oakes' Boulevard nabbed the accolade of all accolades when it earned the prize for Outstanding Restaurant at the prestigious James Beard awards earlier this year.
