It can be pretty traumatizing for a child to walk in on his parents "doing it" in their bedroom. So what's a poor pudgy kid to do to comfort himself after such an event? Eat some Ragu pasta sauce, apparently.
This new ad for Ragu, which has aired during the Olympics, even has a song in the background that goes "Parents in bed, but it's just eight o'clock, that's why they taught you that you should always knock." At the end of the spot, the tagline reads "A long day of childhood calls for America's favorite pasta sauce."
The ad has received mixed responses from Ragu's Facebook fans, with more than one commenter questioning the correlation between sex and pasta sauce.
We'd have to agree -- the last thing we'd want to do after seeing that sight is eat.

SpaghettiOs
Yet another iconic product of American canned foods, Campbell's first introduced SpaghettiOs in 1965. The short and sweet jingle, "Uh-oh, SpaghettiOs," was originally recorded by singer Jimmie Rodgers and has been used to market the pasta product to hungry children ever since. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egLRZwc4Oaw" target="_hplink"><strong>Check out the jingle here.</strong></a> <em>More on The Daily Meal:</em> <a href="http://www.thedailymeal.com/worlds-first-24-hour-atm-cupcakes?utm_source=huffington%2Bpost&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=food%2Bjingles" target="_hplink"><strong>The World's First 24-Hour ATM… for Cupcakes</strong></a> <em>Photo Credit:</em> © iStock/thinkstock
Wrigley's Doublemint Gum
Wrigley began using twins to market this classic chewing gum in 1939, playing off the idea that you should "Double your pleasure, double your fun, with Doublemint Gum." Since 1960, the commercials have featured twins (even some famous ones) chewing along to the upbeat Doublemint tune. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iboOB0JfjTw" target="_hplink"><strong>Check out the jingle here.</strong></a> <em>More on The Daily Meal:</em> <a href="http://www.thedailymeal.com/new-cooking-competition-mixes-top-chef-and-survivor?utm_source=huffington%2Bpost&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=food%2Bjingles" target="_hplink"><strong>'Top Chef' Meets 'Survivor'</strong></a> <em>Photo Credit:</em> © Itemmaster
Folgers
Folgers turned their slogan, "The Best Part of Waking Up Is Folgers in Your Cup," into a jingle in 1984, and since then the song has been featured in nearly every commercial for the company. Some of the most famous ads with the jingle feature a student named Peter, who returns home from college for the holidays and reunites with his family over a pot of freshly brewed coffee. The concept was redone a number of times due to the popularity of the original. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOQk_pWmisA&feature=related" target="_hplink"><strong>Check out the jingle here.</strong></a> <em>More on The Daily Meal:</em> <a href="http://www.thedailymeal.com/chick-fil-starbucks-rated-highest-customer-experience?utm_source=huffington%2Bpost&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=food%2Bjingles" target="_hplink"><strong>Chick-fil-A, Starbucks Rated Highest for Customer Experience</strong></a> <em>Photo Credit:</em> © Itemmaster
Mentos
"Fresh goes better with Mentos fresh and full of life." Mentos debuted this catchy tune in their 1991 TV commercials. The ads featured beautiful people in sticky situations who popped a Mentos mint and were revitalized and ready to face the world once again. The original spot shows a woman whose long dress gets caught on her car door, but after enjoying a Mentos she rips off the rest of the hanging hem and sports a mini-dress. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_KsOnyuCGA" target="_hplink"><strong>Check out the jingle here.</strong></a> <em>More on The Daily Meal:</em> <a href="http://www.thedailymeal.com/paula-deen-drops-2-pant-sizes?utm_source=huffington%2Bpost&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=food%2Bjingles" target="_hplink"><strong>Paula Deen Drops 2 Pants Sizes</strong></a> <em>Photo Credit:</em> © <a href="http://www.flickr.com/people/hellokitae/" target="_hplink"><strong>Flickr/keetr</strong></a>
Chili's Grill & Bar Restaurant
The famed "Welcome to Chili's" jingle gave baby back ribs their day in the sun. The tune featured a duo of doo-wop-style singers crooning "I want my baby back... ribs." The pop-culture references associated with this jingle are countless — it was repeated everywhere from the Austin Powers movies to The Office. The restaurant chain even hired *NSYNC to record the song and star in an ad campaign. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W73gqTS1GRA" target="_hplink"><strong>Check out the jingle here.</strong></a> <em>More on The Daily Meal:</em> <a href="http://www.thedailymeal.com/museum-dedicated-pizza?utm_source=huffington%2Bpost&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=food%2Bjingles" target="_hplink"><strong>A Museum Dedicated to Pizza</strong></a> <em>Photo Credit:</em> © <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/nnecapa" target="_hplink"><strong>Flickr/nnecapa</strong></a>
Klondike
The jingle that asks an eternal question — "What would you do for a Klondike Bar?" The iconic series of commercials poses the question to various characters with the caveat that they do something outrageous (like make monkey sounds). Gary Coleman famously appeared in a Klondike bar ad, and in 2008 the company teamed up with Andy Samberg (of SNL and The Lonely Island) to use the slogan as part of a national video contest. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEcqpSAkXV4" target="_hplink"><strong>Check out the jingle here.</strong></a> <em>More on The Daily Meal:</em> <a href="http://www.thedailymeal.com/more-pay-what-you-want-paneras-open?utm_source=huffington%2Bpost&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=food%2Bjingles" target="_hplink"><strong>A Pay-What-You-Want Panera</strong></a> <em>Photo Credit:</em> © Itemmaster
Kit Kat
"Gimme a break, gimme a break, break me off a piece of that Kit Kat Bar." Ah yes, long before Twix told people to "pause like you mean it," Kit Kat was marketed as the ultimate break-time snack. The jingle has become such a sensation since debuting in 1985 that it's been re-recorded by the likes of Shawn Colvin, Carrie Underwood, and Andrew W.K. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojYcc-p1TgQ" target="_hplink"><strong>Check out the jingle here.</strong></a> <em>More on The Daily Meal:</em> <a href="http://www.thedailymeal.com/here-kate-uptons-full-burger-commercial?utm_source=huffington%2Bpost&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=food%2Bjingles" target="_hplink"><strong>Kate Upton's Full Burger Commercial</strong></a> <em>Photo Credit:</em> © <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/oskay/" target="_hplink"><strong>Flickr/Oskay</strong></a>
Chiquita Banana
Despite Chiquita Brands International, Inc.'s colorful corporate history, one thing is for certain — their advertising department knows what they're doing. The company's original trademark logo, a ladylike banana donning a fruit-filled hat, debuted in 1944 — along with the ultra-catchy jingle: "I'm Chiquita Banana and I've come to say, bananas have to ripen in a certain way..." Just try getting that Calypso rhythm out of your head any time soon. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFDOI24RRAE" target="_hplink"><strong>Check out the jingle here.</strong></a> <em>More on The Daily Meal:</em> <a href="http://www.thedailymeal.com/Morgan-Freeman-Closes-His-Mississippi-Restaurant?utm_source=huffington%2Bpost&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=food%2Bjingles" target="_hplink"><strong>Morgan Freeman Closes His Mississippi Restaurant</strong></a> <em>Photo Credit:</em> © <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/22280677@N07/" target="_hplink"><strong>Flickr/Svadilfari</strong></a>
Oscar Mayer
Oscar Mayer has bestowed not one but two unforgettable jingles upon the masses. The first, of course, is the Oscar Mayer Weiner song (circa 1965) and the second is for their bologna (circa 1974). So whether you'd "Love to be an Oscar Mayer Weiner" or would prefer to note that your "Bologna has a first name, it's O-S-C-A-R," the choice is yours.
