Australia's 'ABC News Breakfast' Re-enacts Sally Pearson's Olympics Win With Legos (VIDEO)

WATCH: News Host Frustrated With Olympics Broadcasting Rules

The International Olympic Committee is notoriously tough when it comes to letting media outlets broadcast footage from the games. "ABC News Breakfast," an Australian morning show, decided to take matters into its own hands.

After showing some still images of Sally Pearson's win in the 100-meter hurdles, the hosts lamented the restrictions. So, they turned to Legos — what else? — to recreate the moment.

The hosts gave a nod to other media outlets for the inspiration. The Guardian has been re-imagining big moments with Legos for a while now, and recently did the same with Usain Bolt's victory and Team USA's gymnastics performances. Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal has its own series of "homemade highlights."

Watch the hosts attempt to capture the suspense of Pearson's narrow victory over Dawn Harper with Lego people in the video above.
