Just when you thought it couldn't get any hotter this summer, the FDNY has added fire to the flames with the release of their official 2013 Calendar of Heroes featuring the department's finest firefighting hunks.
And like the benevolent firefighters they are, all proceeds from the sale go directly to the FDNY Foundation, a non-profit organization that works to promote fire safety education, as well as fire prevention training for firefighters.
Cover boy Darius Dorsett, one of the thirteen firefighters featured in the calendar, told The Daily News, "I looked at this as a challenge. A lot of people exercise for nothing, and that actually makes it boring. So I said, ‘I’ve got to try out for the FDNY calendar.'"
The calendars go for $15.95 a pop and can be purchased at the FDNY Foundation's official site.
