Kate Middleton Closing Ceremony Look Is A Perfect Way To End The Olympics (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Kate Middleton Closes The Olympics In A Repeated Whistles Dress

We can't help but feel that the Olympics has allowed us to feel a little closer to Kate Middleton. We've seen the usually-prim and proper duchess do the wave, engage in some hardcore PDA with Prince William and now we think we may have just discovered her go-to party dress.

Kate attended the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics wearing a blue patterned dress from Whistles. If you're feeling a little deja vu that's because you've already seen this dress on Kate just two months ago at the Diamond Jubilee concert. This time, she ditched the blazer and added a pair of silver hoop earrings (we suspect there's an Olympics theme going on with all of her round statement jewelry choices). It's nice to know that even royals have their favorite party looks.

The Duchess of Cambridge attended the ceremony with Prince Harry since William had to get back to work as a search and rescue pilot. Prince Harry took center stage as the royal figurehead of the closing event -- we guess he's not such a "third wheel" after all. Kate's £150 high street dress turned out to be a good choice since she and Harry got on their feet and danced at the event. (Ed. note: We can't decide if she's a bigger Spice Girls or The Who fan. Any hunches?)

Another great part of the evening? Kate's reunion with Samantha Cameron (wearing blue, obvi). We imagine that the two made sure to exchange outfit compliments. The big question is: Now that the Olympics are over, will Kate go back to being perfect all of the time?
