Craft Of The Day: Create Your Own Trivets Using Cork And Rope

We love it when we find kitchen essentials that are not only useful, but stylish too. Which is why we particularly like today's Craft Of The Day. These DIY trivets from Hi Sugarplum! are the perfect way to protect your counters from hot objects and they aren't an eye sore. See for yourself:

Besides using them under steaming dishes, this cute decor comes in handy in a number of different ways. You can place them under drink pitchers to absorb condensation or layer them underneath vases or candles to accent your space. They're super easy to make, too. All you need is a round piece of cork, scissors, rope and a hot glue gun. We plan on making a few in different styles and stashing them for whatever comes to mind!
