Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character was set up quite nicely at the end of "The Dark Knight Rises," and moviegoers and critics alike have wondered if we'll see more of John Blake.

THR caught up with the actor and asked him if he's game for more Batman films. Gordon-Levitt told the site he had "no idea" if he'd be given the opportunity to play the role again, but hinted that he'd be amenable if the right conditions came along: “I always choose scripts the same way. If it’s a great script and a great filmmaker, then I’m interested.”

Christopher Nolan has famously said that "The Dark Knight Rises" is his final Batman film. The movie was the third in a trilogy of Nolan films on the character, preceded by "The Dark Knight" and "Batman Begins."

The role of John Blake had been a closely guarded secret, pretty much up to the point of the film's release. Rumors, perhaps buoyed by the silence of Nolan and JGL himself, cast Blake as a modern day Robin.

The film's ending is ambiguous on the matter, so much so that there is certainly an array of paths forward for the character. Let us know what you think would happen in a further film in the comments.

For more from JGL, who was grabbed at a publicity event for "Premium Rush," head over to THR.
