On "Breaking Bad" last Sunday, Jesse Plemons became Todd, a guy who can easily shoot a child just because he witnessed just a little too much drug-related activity.

Although he played the lovable Landry on "Friday Night Lights," this isn't the first time one of Plemons' characters has killed someone -- Landry beat a guy to death with a pipe in Season 2 of the football series.

"It's always the unexpected guy," Plemons told Vulture of playing a small-screen killer. "It's not like, 'Oh, he's the guy that shoots people.' It's like, 'He's the guy that you would not expect to shoot someone.' I don't know. It was just coincidence, I guess."

While details on Plemons' character had been kept under wraps before Sunday's episode, Gilligan did tease that his character was "very important" on Comic-Con in July.

"Breaking Bad" airs on Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on AMC.
