If you spend just 10 minutes watching music videos on MTV and VH1 or scrolling down Billboard's Hot 100 list, you could easily spot the new young stars who are heavily influenced by (or frankly rip off) Madonna. With her risqué style, she's schooled an entire class of music artists on what it takes to get people gossiping. Yet, anyone with a keen eye can see where the controversial entertainer herself sought inspiration.

From her party girl side ponytail and bright eyeshadow (hello, Cyndi Lauper!) to her bold brows and bright red lips (gotta give props to Grace Jones) to her retro waves and winged eyeliner (a modern-day Marilyn Monroe), Madonna definitely isn't afraid to transform and transcend.
