Martin Sheen On 'Anger Management': Charlie's Dad Wants To Move In (VIDEO)

'Anger Management' Welcomes Martin Sheen As Charlie's Dad

Fans got their first look at Martin Sheen on "Anger Management" (Thu., 9:30 p.m. ET on FX). Charlie Sheen's real-life papa also plays his fictional one on the show, and should it get that expected 90-episode pick-up, the elder Sheen has already committed to joining the show as a cast regular.

This episode saw his character, also named Martin, coming by to visit his son. Charlie was hesitant to see him because Martin has been a rather terrible father. But the Martin who showed up was a kinder and gentler man. In other words, a veritable stranger.

He tried to convince Charlie, via a few lies, that he'd always been this way. It almost worked, but in the end Martin came clean that he'd not always been the best father. But he was on his own now and in need of a place to stay. And he promised to do the best he could to be a good father this time around.

Next week is the season finale of "Anger Management," at 9:30 p.m. ET on FX, after which the network will decide if it wants to commit to 90 more installments.
