Tasha Harmon Allegedly Stabs 6-Year-Old Daughter, Who Tells Officer, 'Mommy Tried To Kill Me'

'Mommy Tried To Kill Me'

When neighbors found 6-year-old Adrianna Harmon lying on her bed, she was covered in blood.

The critically injured little girl told officers, "Mommy tried to kill me."

Now, her mother, 30-year-old Tasha D. Harmon, is in a Wisconsin jail on charges of attempted homicide, the Wisconsin State Journal reports.

Court documents released Friday regarding Monday's incident reveal that the Fitchburg woman told police, "I went crazy, tried to kill my daughter and myself."

Harmon's daughter suffered life-threatening injuries including a punctured lung caused by stab wounds to the chest and back, but she is expected to recover.

Shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Monday, Harmon went to her neighbor's apartment and said, "I just stabbed my daughter and myself," Channel 3000 reports. She had self-inflicted stab wounds on her chest and throat.

Cops believe Harmon stabbed her daughter several times with a 7-inch steak knife as the girl slept. Her motive remains unclear.

Harmon was taken to a hospital before she was led to jail. Court records reveal that she has a previous felony conviction for second-degree reckless endangerment in 2007 and misdemeanor convictions for issuing bad checks, among other charges.
