Hope Solo Explains Maksim Chmerkovskiy 'Dancing With The Stars' Abuse Claim On 'Chelsea Lately' (VIDEO)

Hope Solo Gives More Details On Her 'DWTS' Abuse Claim

Hope Solo is standing by her story that her "Dancing With the Stars" partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy slapped her during rehearsal. Solo was a contestant on Season 13 of the show, making it to the semi-final rounds. She wrote about the incident in her memoir, "Solo: A Memoir of Hope," and spoke about it on "Chelsea Lately" (Weeknights, 11 p.m. ET on E!).

Solo told Chelsea Handler that she didn't respond physically because of the cameras present. She didn't want the edit to make her look like "the bad guy." So instead, she left. She has further said that the show tried to cover it up by offering her a new partner and even "losing" the footage.

Chmerkovskiy, however, denies the story completely, and both he and the show are reportedly looking into taking legal action against Solo.

Tune in for "Chelsea Lately" every weeknight at 11 p.m. ET on E!
