Reality TV weddings seem to be an entertainment staple these days.
But some of the most memorable (and, arguably, the best) TV weddings happen between fictional characters on sitcoms and dramas -- from contemporary favorites like "Friends" and "Community" to old-school classics like "The Brady Bunch" and "Rhoda."
Click through the slideshow below to relive some of our favorite TV weddings.
Ross and Emily on "Friends"
Ross and Emily's wedding made for quite a memorable episode of "Friends." While Ross recited his vows to Emily, he accidentally said "Rachel" instead. The couple continued with the ceremony, though the marriage didn't end well for Ross: Emily moved back to London and the pair divorced.
Robert and Amy on "Everybody Loves Raymond"
Robert and Amy's wedding dance sticks in our minds more than their ceremony. Quirky Robert and his bride, longtime girlfriend Amy, showed their true colors with their funky moves, and took guests by surprise as they shuffled and wiggled around the dance floor.
Mike and Carol Brady on "The Brady Bunch"
"The Brady Bunch" was all about marriage and family, and the series started with a wedding that was the foundation of the entire show. Between Carol's 60s yellow wedding attire and the children fighting like cats and dogs -- no, really -- over their cats and dogs, this was the start of what was undoubtedly one of the most famous TV marriages.
Turk and Carla on "Scrubs"
This marriage didn't start off on the best foot: Turk missed his wedding to Carla after working an extra shift to get more honeymoon time -- and then ended up at the wrong church. The pair do end up tying the knot though, after one of Turk's patients turns out to be a priest and marries them from his recovery bed.
Miranda and Steve on "Sex and the City
Miranda's wedding was memorable because she never wanted to marry in the first place. But after a bad break-up and a happy reunion, Miranda proposed to Steve "over $3 beers." Then, the couple married in a community garden in NYC.
Will and Lisa on "The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air"
Will and Lisa had two near-weddings. For the first, they attempted a "Shaft"-themed ceremony in Las Vegas, but decided they weren't ready to tie the knot. The second was shut down as well, after Will's mother fell in love with Lisa's father, causing Will and Lisa to split before the "I dos."
Cory and Topanga on "Boy Meets World"
"Boy Meets World" fans had been rooting for Cory and Topanga since the beginning of the series, and this episode summed up all of those feelings.
Luka and Abby on "ER"
There were a few roadbumps for Luka and Abby even before their wedding day. After being held hostage and escaping, Luka decided to propose to Abby. Then, on their Big Day, Abby realized that hubby-to-be Luka had prepared vows -- one part of the ceremony she intended to skip -- leaving her to come up with something to say on the spot.
Rhoda and Joe on "Rhoda"
Who could forget Rhoda running to her own wedding in her gown? When her ride forgot to pick her up, Rhoda ran for her life and arrived at the church huffing and puffing.
Andy and April on "Parks and Rec"
April and Andy's surprise wedding -- which featured the groom in cargo pants and a football jersey, and the bride reciting nontraditional vows -- almost didn't happen: Amy Poehler's character, Leslie, planned to object during the ceremony.
Jim and Pam on "The Office"
Wedding stress got to Pam just before she walked down the aisle, so she and Jim skipped out on their original ceremony to get married on a boat in Niagra Falls. When they finally made it back to the church, their guests reenacted a popular viral wedding dance video.
Shirley and Andre on "Community"
Shirley's second trip down the aisle with ex-but-now-current husband Andre was fraught with controversy. At their rehearsal dinner, Andre revealed that he wanted Shirley back at home (rather than working) and Shirley nearly called the whole thing off. But the couple soon reconciled and married on the spot instead of waiting for their official wedding the next day.
Sydney and David on "Melrose Place"
This TV wedding was overshadowed by tragedy. After longtime on-and-off couple Sydney and David married, she was killed during their wedding reception after being hit by a car driven by her old business partner's father.
Joanie and Chachi on "Happy Days"
Joanie and Chachi's wedding on "Happy Days" marked the final episode of this memorable series.
