'Treme' Season 3: Series Returning To HBO On September 23

'Treme' Gets A Premiere Date

"Treme" is headed back to HBO on September 23 to zoom in on the lives of Antoine (Wendell Pierce), LaDonna (Khandi Alexander) and Toni Bernette (Melissa Leo).

The series picks up with Toni continuing to fight against a corrupt police department, sexual assault victim LaDonna working to reclaim her dignity, and trombonist Antoine taking a good look at the meaning of life.

The series has been off the air for over a year, with Season 2 of "Treme" wrapping up last summer.
