When George W. Bush left office every sector of the economy had crashed on his watch including, but not limited to, the housing market, stock market, banking industry, manufacturing industry, and the service industry. The US Dollar was the weakest relative to other currencies since before WWII, and unemployment was increasing by an astronomical 700,000 job losses each month! Plus, Cheney-Bush spent some $3 trillion on the their wars, and gave up finding Osama bin Laden, the mastermind of 9/11. Bush pompously declared "Mission Accomplished" in Iraq in May 2003, eight years before President Obama actually ended that war.. 17 of 24 people who advised Bush-Cheney on foreign policy are now advising the Romney campaign. In fact, Dick Cheney is one of Romney's main fundraisers. George Bush, of course, has been ostracized from his party, but his policies remain an integral part of the Romney campaign.

The neocon party plucked this bottomfeeder from the "swamp" long before he became president, since they had to "groom" him for the job like they had to do with Grampa Reagan.

The party's foundation is laid with powerful, greedy and filthy rich political "buyers" who don't want anyone that would be smart enough to question their takeover of our government. Their nominees just have to be presentable enough to look good on telly, but not smart enough to change the status quo...and the "thank you" that they receive from their party after they leave office is to be "disassociated" from the powerful backers that gave them their orders in the first place.

Now the party is grooming another couple of "stuffed shirts" to sink into comfortable obscurity after their failed "trickle down" economic policies make the country much poorer, but the wealthy corporate and financial backers much richer...think all of those tax breaks and deregulations! Comfortable obscurity paid for by our taxpayer dollars.

Yup! Bush didn't do much to help anyone, except the rich with those gigantic tax cuts he got CONGRESS to pass. (Example $104,000 tax break for someone making a million dollars a year; only $2,000 for an average wage earner.)

George W. Bush wanted two terms as president so that he could beat his daddy just once in his life. He didn't want to actually do anything as president and is probably thrilled to get back to doing nothing - as he had most of his life.

What George W. won't tell you is that he took a prime piece of real estate called America and turned it into the swamp he crawled out of. 4.0% unemployment and a surplus of cash on hand was handed to him by the Clinton administration and G.W. squandered it on tax breaks for the wealthy and unnecessary, unprovoked wars.

George didn't just crawl out of a self made swamp, he crawled out from under a rock. George needs to crawl back under that rock.

I actually like George W. Bush. Most of the problems in his presidency - torture, top secret America, Iraq re-do, running 3 wars without making economic changes at home - originated with Dick Cheney, and once Mr. Bush realized that (albeit well into his second term), he took steps to minimize Cheney's influence. He was president during a tough time and he comes from a family that could have done anything else but chose to enter politics, not unlike the Kennedys.

The GWB administration identified the problems in the mortgage/banking industry in April, 2001. Bush made numerous attempts to reform Fannie Mae. He was blocked every time by BarneyFrank and the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
